The utilization of a stainless steel one way roller bearing gives an angler instantaneous drag engagement as well as eliminating the need for "dog and paw" system. This reduces weight as well as the need for vulnerable small springs and weak pieces. The use of a cork disc drag insures an ultra smooth time tested and proven drag surface that is used in only the finest of fly reels. The reels are CNC machined from a (6082) marine alloy of aluminum. This gives the reels the ultimate combination of light weight and super strength. Combined with strict precision to tolerance and rigorous quality control these reels are uncompromised in their quality. Aesthetics are also not forgotten, and ultrasound cleaning and impeccable polish give the three finishes of black, gold and silver, a breath taking look as well as strong corrosion resistance. With laser engraved graphics that will withstand the rigors of time, the Alutecnos Large Arbor Salt Water Fly Reels have all the qualities that make it the "top line" fly reel. Models range in line weight from 6 to 13 and come with padded case.
