Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Big Boat, Big Fish - DVD - The Revillagigedos Islands are home to the largest population of resident yellowfin tuna on earth. For over 40 years, men like Bill Poole have pioneered long-range fishing from San Diego, making the 1000 mile run south to challenge these giant tuna. Watch 80 wides getting spooled in less than 60 seconds... backups hitting the water...anglers diving into skiffs... and grown men being driven to their knees by the power and strength of these incredible fish. Films like The Ultimate Challenge and Deep Color have brought the excitement of long-range fishing into the homes of thousands. But until now, no film or video has ever come close to capturing what it's like to be in the middle of an absolutely, wide-open, non-stop bite on these huge tuna. A bite that lasted over 36 hours and produced 28 fish over 200 pounds.Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - 377 Pounds of Fury - 377 Pounds of Fury Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Tuna Town "Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Tribute To Tuna Part 1 - DVD - Produced in honor of the men who once fished from the racks, using cane poles, their bare hands, guts and determination; and the magnificent tuna they chased. There are few things in the world that match the experience of being tied into a big tuna. It can be one of the most challenging and emotional experiences of an anglers life. Few individuals have had as direct and as powerful an influence on the sport of fishing as did Zane Grey. Pioneering the development of big game reels, drag systems, teasers and double line leaders, Zane's passion for fishing was only matched by his never ending quest to explore uncharted waters, battle giant fish and push their gear to the breaking point and beyond. Off limits to all aircraft and ships within a 200 miles radius, to say the atoll is virtually un-touched is an understatement. As you can imagine the fishing there is beyond words. 100 pound GT s crashing the surface poppers right off the rocks, 500 pound marlin within miles of the beach, schools of big yellowfin so thick under the birds that you have to drive away from them to avoid quadruple hook ups while looking for the marlin. Think I’m full of crap? Tune in and check it out. This is as good as we’ve ever seen it anywhere in the world. It’s what fishing Hawaii a hundred years ago must have been like.

This is truly a collectors’ item, belonging right up there along A Tribute to Tuna. Doug Olander, Editor in Chief, of Sport Fishing Magazine, writes, “The waters off a nondescript bluff on the northern Peru coast produced the most remarkable action the world has ever seen for colossal black marlin, abundant swordfish, striped marlin and huge bigeye tuna. No other spot could rival it then: no other spot rivals it now. And it seems increasingly possible that no place ever will.” The original 16mm color films, provided by the IGFA, have been magnetically cleaned, transferred and digitized, with unbelievable clarity and crispness, preserving forever an all time classic moment in time. Without question this is one of fishing’s most historical moments. Baseball great, Ted Williams introduces us to the Cabo Blanco Fishing Club, before heading off the beach, making bait and doing battle with a black marlin weighing in at over 1,200 pounds. S. Rip Farrington picks up the action where Ted leaves of with more spectacular footage showcasing this great fishery in all its grandeur. Cabo Blanco Peru, circa, 1954 this is one you’ll watch over and over again. 54 Minutes

Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Threshers Yak Style - DVD - Of all the places we've ever been, and all the programs we've ever produced over the years, without a question, this is one of the all-time classics. Having been invited by a group of locals to fish threshers off the beach in Malibu, from their kayaks, we had no idea what to expect. What happened out there on the water was incomprehensible, as these guys went head to head with fish topping the 200 pound mark. Working from platforms that put them only a few inches of the water, this glimpse into their world is going to leave you shaking your head in disbelief. It takes a tough, unique individual to even think about fishing threshers from a yak. It isn't for everyone, but for the few, it's an experience that will last a lifetime. But as hardcore as these guys are, what impressed me the most was the camaraderie, and the way they worked together, helping one another whenever someone got bit. Their energy reminded us of what it was like surfing in the early 60's, when just being out there was enough. This was as close to a oneness with the sport that we've ever experienced.Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Mixed Bag - DVD - Join us as we battle threshers, inside the Long Beach breakwater before heading toward mid channel for a shot at some big time makos. From there we move inland, to the Salton Sea to fish plastics the fresh water cousins of the white sea bass, the legendary corvina. These fish hit like wahoo, jump like dorado and fight like a tuna and with multiple hookups going off all day, the action is non-stop. The fish rich waters of Southern California can be some of the most productive fishing in the world. An established breeding ground and nursery for both mako and thresher sharks, these waters are also home to a number of other hard fighting game fish. From yellowtail and white sea bass, to calicos, barracuda, bonita, and halibut, both the inshore coastal and island, as well as the offshore fishing here can be spectacular. It all depends upon the time of year and how knowledgeable you are about the individual species. Join us as we team up with the Keith Poe and David Brackman as we battle threshers, inside the Long Beach breakwater before heading toward mid channel for a shot at some big time makos. From there we move inland, to the Salton Sea to fish plastics with Barry Brightenberg and Rick Ozaki, throwing to some fresh water cousins of the white sea bass, the legendary corvina. These fish hit like wahoo, jump like dorado and fight like a tuna and with multiple hookups going off all day, the action is non-stop. We wrap it all up with an incredible look back in time, circa 1954, and a 3/4 day trip aboard the Hurricane, running out of Pierpoint Landing that brought limits of albacore, bluefin tuna, bottom grabbers, and a broadbill swordfish that topped the scales at just under 500 pounds. Not too shabby for a 3/4 day run. 75 minutes.Fishing DVD - Inside Sportfishing - Deep Color - DVD - Not since the "Ultimate Challenge" has a film captured the imagery, excitement, and true essence of what long range fishing is all about. Hosted by Tommy Rothery, owner/operator of the Polaris Supreme, Deep Color is simply the most exciting and informative video ever produced on fishing for World Class Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo. Shoot entirely on location 950 miles South/East of San Diego at the Revillagigedos Islands, this 115 minute classic has some of the most in-depth and usable information ever assembled on the west coast style stand-up techniques, tackle, chunkin' and kite fishing. Non-stop action, spectacular underwater footage and wide-open "foamer" on 300+ pound Yellowfin at the Hurricane Bank all combine to make Deep Color....the ultimate long range video! 115 minutes

During the mid 1900's, the waters off Southern California were as fertile and productive as any on earth. Massive schools of pelagic species invaded the bite each season.
