CHEST QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
Frigid Rigid ice chests are built to withstand years of rugged
outdoor exposure. They are unaffected by sun or salt spray. The
ice chests are constructed of fiberglass with an interior and
exterior of smooth, weather-resistant marine-grade gel coat. The
lid seal is made of weather-resistant rubber. Heavy-duty 316
stainless steel hinges are attached with stainless steel screws
and backing plates which are embedded into the ice chest,
preventing rust and corrosion. Even the handles are designed to
stand up to any type of weather — they are made out of nylon
rope for long-life.
Plus, Frigid Rigid ice chests offer the highest quality
insulation materials to keep contents cold. Rigid 2"
polyurethane foam provides the highest possible insulation
efficiency available for ice chests. And an airtight "D" ring
lid seal made of long-life EPDM rubber keeps out hot air for
maximum cold retention. The easy-to-use flex-latch with
air-valve release assures that the lid will seal properly and
stay in place.

All Frigid Rigid ice chests come with a built-in, recessed drain
for easy cleaning. Ice chests over 48" have two drains for easy
emptying and cleaning.
All Frigid Rigid ice chests come with four 4" diameter molded
polyurethane non-skid bottom pads that will not mar the surface
of your boat's deck or any other sensitive surface.
Frigid Rigid ice chests offer several optional accessories such
as cushions for seating, corner chocks, sandwich trays, and
dividers.
Frigid Rigid also offers ice chests with set back lids. The set
back lid was designed so that you can open the ice chest fully
without having to move it away from a wall first.

FRIGID RIGID
TACKLE CENTER
The “Tackle Center” merges all the advantages of a 100 quart
cooler capable of keeping ice for up to 2 weeks, with a six
drawer fully enclosed tackle center mounted on the "set-back"
portion of the top of the cooler.
This exceptionally practical unit is designed to unclutter,
simplify, and make more effective two important functions: (1)
tackle organization and (2) a cooler.
The Tackle Center is solid fiberglass construction, has a Gel
Coat finish, and measures 33 1 / 2” wide x 24 1 / 2” deep x 25”
high. Custom colors are available. It can be used in conjunction
with many “leaning posts” or “rocket launchers” applications.
With some modifications, the Tackle Center can be used as a
stand alone seat or leaning post. It has optional custom slides
available so that it can be stowed in a recess, then pulled out
and secured in place for additional seating & easier access.

FRIGID RIGID ICE
CHESTS WITH SET BACKS
On most ice chests,
the hinges are mounted on the back of the lid and the back of
the box. When the lid is opened, the lid rotates back. In order
for the lid to open fully, the ice chest must be moved away from
the wall or bulk head approximately three inches to allow the
lid to fully open.
In Frigid Rigid's "set back" design, however, the hinges are
mounted, not on the back of the box, but on the top of the box
on a specially designed shelf. This shelf design makes it
possible for us to offer a Frigid Rigid ice chest with the
hinges moved forward either 3, 6, or 10 inches. And it allows
you to open the ice chest lid while the box is flush against a
wall. This design works especially well when the ice chest is
placed in front of a center console or under a leaning post of a
boat. And it comes in handy anytime you've filled your ice chest
to the brim and need to open it!

COFFIN COOLERS
It holds your haul: At five feet in length, 22
inches wide (tapers to 20"), and 29 inches high, the large
coffin/storage box holds 340 quarts of your favorite fish (ideal
for 23' and larger boats). Even the smaller size, at 45 inches
long, has a 260-quart capacity (recommended for boats less than
23'). Plus, the insulated box can keep that fish on ice for more
than two weeks.
Divide and conquer: The coffin/storage box
comes standard with features such as a removable divider, a
sandwich tray, and a perforated bait tray to keep your items
separated and organized.
Easy access, but not in the way: The box's
tapered design allows easy maneuverability for active fishermen.
Plus, the box is secured to the deck with our turn buckle tie
down system, or it can be through-bolted to your boat's deck so
that it stays put in rough seas.

is designed to fit in the very large center console fishing
boats that many boat manufacturers are now introducing. This
coffin box comes standard with a double lid and divider. It can
be mounted to the deck using our heavy duty stainless steel
turnbuckles.

FRIGID RIGID
TRUCK BOX COOLERS
Frigid Rigid has
been making its standard line of ice chests for the marine and
outdoor market since 1985. It is now bringing its proven
technology to the truck market. Frigid Rigid has introduced a
new product line of ice chests, freezers and refrigerators that
are designed to be mounted in the back of standard or compact
size pickup trucks. These truck boxes have all of the design
features that make our standard line of ice chests the most
efficient coolers made today. In most environments, these chests
can keep ice from 7-10 days. Frigid Rigid combines fiberglass
exterior and interior construction, two inches of polyurethane
high density foam insulation and "D" ring air tight seal to make
the strongest and most efficient ice chest available today.
Because of the strong construction of this box, it can be used
as dry storage and will withstand the weight of heavy tools and
other equipment.
SIZES
These ice chests are available for both the standard size and
compact size pick-up trucks. They are available with a dual (two
138 quart compartments) or single (285 quart) compartments.
There is a nine-inch open space from the bottom of the box to
the bed. This allows for full-length storage in the bed for such
things as 4 x 8 sheets of plywood. Two lids are on each box
allowing for easy access from either side of the truck.
CUSTOM COLORS
In addition to our standard colors, we can match the color of
your truck. If you want the color of your ice chest to match
your truck, Frigid Rigid will need the make, model, year and the
color code of your truck. There is an additional charge for
custom colors.
CONSTRUCTION
The ice chest is made of fiberglass with a gel coat finish. Two
inches of high-density polyurethane foam is injected in the box
to give it a high insulation value and make it extremely strong.
This is the same method that is used to make boat hulls. Because
of the gel coat finish, the surface is scratch and dent
resistant.
RECESS
DRAIN
There are two drains in each ice chest facing to the rear of the
truck. Each drain is recessed so the box can drain,
automatically eliminating the need to tip the box in order to
drain it.
REFRIGERATION
All models of the box are available with refrigeration. A
12-volt Danfoss compressor, condenser, fan and thermostat are
mounted in a compartment inside the box. These components use
the power from your truck electrical system. Theses boxes can be
set to operate in the freezing mode or in the refrigeration
mode. Because of Frigid Rigid's patented system, the
refrigeration coils are on the outside of the inner liner. This
eliminates the use of cold plates, which can be easily damaged.
The inside of the box is smooth and can be used for dry storage
when not in the refrigeration mode. Additionally, there is an
automatic control that senses your truck battery, and when it
falls below a pre-programmed voltage, it will shut off the
refrigeration equipment so that your truck battery does not run
down.
