#169, an old boat completely redone for the 2004 Worlds by Green
Mountain Foils in Vermont. Bottom and foils were faired, topsides
awlgripped, deck entirely rebuilt and recored, wooden toe rails and hand
rails replaced with plastic and metal, all new running rigging and
blocks, new mast and boom installed and a new galvanized trailer
provided. There's a full length Sunbrella cover. The boat is about 30
pounds light, with compensation weights installed. The boat was 16th in
the 2004 world championship, including one race victory. There's a
well-used suit of Quantum sails and a set purchased in 2006 but used
slightly. There are a few dings and some of the paint is chipping off
the boom, but all else is exactly as it should be with this boat. It can
be seen at Annapolis YC Sailing Center--the only one over there with a
bright blue full-length cover. You can easily get a cheaper boat, but
you can't get a better one without paying twice as much for a new one.
$17,000. (I paid $17,000 and bought the new sails and the cover.)
