Port Hope, MI"J-Lyn Charters" with Captains Ken & Janice Deaton Their season starts off on Lake Huron in mid April and runs thru October. In the Spring They fish for King Salmon and trophy Brown Trout, as the summer progresses, expect a mixed bag, of steelies, chinook, browns, and lakers, in late summer, they fish walleye, ( July and August), and Lake Huron walleye fishing is some of the best on the Great Lakes, then in the fall, the "big ones" (chinook salmon) return. In 1999, the "catch rate" for Michigan salmon and trout as reported by the DNR to the best in over a decade
