Our Premium line consists
of a copolymer core and a fluorocarbon coating and is our most
versatile line. The fluorescent tint to the line gives it
excellent visibility under a black light when night fishing.
Yet, in the daylight, the fluorocarbon component makes the
line nearly invisible in water. CX PREMIUM is a soft, limp
line making it ideal for both spinning and casting gear.
The line has an incredibly
low stretch, up to 30% lower than other lines, giving it
exceptional sensitivity. Because of the small line diameter,
anglers get more line on the spool than with other lines of
comparable pound test strength. Also, anglers get a great low
profile presentation with the smaller diameter. The
fluorocarbon coating prevents the line from absorbing water,
improving castability and overall performance. This great all
purpose premium line is available in fluorescent clear only.

Spectrex IV is a four
carrier Spectraź braid. Each carrier has up to 60 strands of
the highest quality Spectra and is braided into a single line
totaling up to 240 strands. The line is cross-linked with a
color matrix locking the color into the fibers to ensure color
stability. We then apply a reinforced resin system to increase
tensile strength and make the line hydrophobic.
So what does this mean to the
angler who is not an engineer? It means increased sensitivity
because of the near-zero stretch factor. It means increased line
capacity because of the high strength in comparison to the
diameter, and it means a line that has an
unlimited life on the reel because the line is UV resistant and
hydrophobic.

P-Line's
new FLUOROCLEAR is a great option for any angler. The engineers
at P-Line have worked for years to perfect the process of
combining Copolymer and Fluorocarbon technologies and the result
is FLUOROCLEAR, a line that has all of the most desirable
features for the serious angler.
FLUOROCLEAR is made of two parts; a copolymer core and a
fluorocarbon, silicon coating that is absorbed into the pores of
the line. The copolymer is the same core material as our other
lines, but is extruded to have very little memory. FLUOROCLEAR
gives angler's the best of both worlds:
1) The main advantage of fluorocarbon is invisibility, with a
refractive index very close to that of water; the line virtually
disappears once it enters the water. Low water absorption gives
the line greater casting distance, and durability.
2) The advantages of copolymer lines are knot and tensile
strength, durability, and abrasion resistance. They are just
simply better than ordinary monofilament lines.
100% soft fluorocarbon lines have several disadvantages.
1) Low line stretch, the disadvantage of this is that shock
strength is sacrificed, this causes line breakage during
hooksets, and surging runs by fish near the boat.
2) Very weak knot strength, with only a limited number of knots
that will retain the strength of the line.
So what we did at P-Line was to develop a line that had the
positive characteristics of fluorocarbon, and combined them with
a copolymer line. Anglers now have a line with a diameter that
is up to 30% smaller than other lines with similar rated pound
tests. FLUOROCLEAR is made in line sizes for both freshwater and
inshore saltwater applications. This soft, supple line fishes
like a dream on spinning gear, no tangles, loops or frustration.
Allows you to make deadly accurate and extremely long casts with
your baitcasting gear. FLUOROCLEAR will allow you to make the
stealthiest of presentations.
