525 MAG Casting Reel. This is one reel that truly goes the
distance. Engineered for world record casting
competitions, the 525 MAG lets every angler toss the lightest
live baits with ease or reach untouched waters when surf
fishing. A sophisticated magnetic control - using four rare
earth magnets and a sliding adjustment on the left side plate -
lets you adjust the casting speed of the spool. With the 525
MAG, the spool is also totally free from the spindle when
casting. Five aircraft quality stainless steel ball bearings,
plus a one way roller bearing for infinite anti-reverse, provide
ultra smooth precision performance whether casting, retrieving
or fighting a fish.

Each GS reel features a lightweight, one piece graphite
composite frame - with corrosion resistant metal inserts in the
front and rear spacer bars - for
high strength and precision alignment. The 525gs, 535gs, 545gs
and 555gs feature strong and durable black anodized aluminum
spools. The 525 MAG features a specially designed gold anodized
aluminum spool.

Each GS reel - the 525 MAG, the light tackle 525gs, the compact
535gs, the narrow spool 545gs and the high capacity 555gs -
features high speed retrieve ratios for fast cranking lures and
battling speedy gamefish like tuna, wahoo, or king mackerel.
Precision machined stainless steel pinion gears and bronze alloy
main gears make GS reels more than a match for any fish.

Each GS reel boasts four aircraft quality stainless steel ball
bearings (525 MAG has five). These bearings are sealed against
water, dirt, dust and other contaminants. The 525gs and 525 MAG
have special one way anti-reverse bearings that totally
eliminate handle "kick back."

Performance Brakes.
Penn's powerful HT-100™ multi-disc drag system, enhanced in the
GS series, will bring a charging wahoo from 60 m.p.h. to zero in
seconds flat. And a special collar seals out saltwater and
contaminants to maintain optimum drag performance. Each model
also features an ergonomic star drag wheel that lets you easily
fine tune the drag setting, even in the heat of battle.
