New for 2001, Penn has introduced the American-made International® 975CS — a special casting version of its immensely popular International® 975 baitcasting reel.

The 15- to 20-lb. class 975CS is ideal for a wide variety of inshore and offshore saltwater applications. With no level wind mechanism, the 975CS provides superior casting distance — ideal for reaching blues and stripers in the surf, tempting tarpon or reds on the flats or fly lining live baits to school-sized tuna and dolphin. West Coast anglers will also find Penn’s 975CS tailor-made for battling tough island yellowtail, white sea bass and calicos.

The casting qualities of the 975CS are further enhanced by Penn’s adjustable, three-level centrifugal brake control, which lets you select the exact amount of desired spool tension. The 4.5-1 retrieve ratio provides the perfect blend of speed and power, thanks to oversized stainless steel main gears and pinion gears. You can work lures quickly or gain ground on a charging fish, while still maintaining the cranking power to overcome stubborn fish.
