2006
The angler is Dan Yates and deckhand Armando of La Bamba. This was my
first ever Sailfish and the first fish we caught on this 5-day
outing. I landed this beautiful sail quickly within about 10
minutes of hookup. We estimated it to be just over 7’ and about
80 pounds. Submitted 7-28-05.

Outdoor Channel Offshore Classic, Islamorada, Florida. Angler- Dan
Heidtke, wheelchair fisherman with the Paralyzed Veterans of

150's down to Florida for some sailfish action. Here are the
results.
Attached is a photo of 14 year old
Brendan Richards from Narragansett RI . Its a sailfish that he caught on
vacation in Cape Hatteras on the charter boat Tuna Duck. He also
caught a white Marlin Both were caught trolling big ballyhoo and
plugs. Both fish were tagged and released. Submitted 07/29/04.
