Hook Teaser - Named after the Harbor where this design
originated in St. Thomas, VI, this rig will attract all kinds of
billfish and tuna. We use 600# mono with heavy duty 6/0
three way swivels spaced 46" apart carrying 24" drop lines with
500# snap swivels attached to custom painted bowling pins.
Available in several quantity/size combinations and in three
great colors. Each Red Hook Teaser includes a custom made
duffle bag and each pin is individually protected with a cloth
bag with a drawstring. The small pins are spaced 34"
between the three way swivels and 20" drops.
Tormenter Tackle Bowling
Pin Teasers – Use these without hooks to attract many
species to your spread. Most professional crews will use them in
a “Daisy Chain” with as many as 12 teasers in a line, linked
together by 18” lengths of 300-500 lb mono. You may use the
large or the small, or a combination. After raising a large
marlin with the teaser, get it out of the way (pull in the boat)
and (simultaneously) pull a similarly dressed bait in front of
the marlin and get ready for the bite! Some crews prefer the
“Dorado” and some prefer the “Bonito”. Many will carry both on
board.
